Our Chairman & Managing Director CAPT. D. K. Giri has been Awarded the Prestigious, Ratna Shiromani Award, in the Parliament Club, New Delhi for Professional Excellence & Scientific approach in the Security Guarding and Private Investigating Field. Our confidence and capabilities go to the extent that we dared and offered the elimination of the Jungle Brigand Veerappan, the man who has murdered 132 men and poached 2,000 elephants. This has been made possible only due to the concerted, determined and selfless services rendered by all ranks of our Organization. We always take over all the Security & Safety worries of our existing and prospective clients, by giving them a Total Security cover and allow them a free and tension less environment to devote and concentrate on their activities, in order to further their business objectives. It is admittedly impractical for the police alone who are over burdened and whose sphere of investigation is limited to cognizably offenses, to meet the challenge of the prevention of all crimes. It is ideal to leave the police free, to tackle only the grave crimes. Hence our Agency has a vital role to play in successfully checking the spread of other crimes before it engulfs our clients. About our Founder...
 Ex-Capt D. K. Giri is the founder and the Chairman & Managing Director of Sharp Detectives Private Limited, established in 1978 and incorporated with the Registrar of Companies in 1984. He joined the Officers Training Academy and got commissioned in Indian Army in the Elite Brigade of The 11 Gurkha Rifles in the year 1972. As a 2ndLieutenant and was promoted to the Rank of a Captain in just 4 months. He underwent rigorous and professional training in Belgaum in the Infantry Training School in All weapons, tactics and the Commando Warfare. Thereafter in the Physical Training School, Pune, in battalion’s sport weapons in Mhow, in counterinsurgency and jungle-warfare in Assam, Mountain Warfare in Kashmir. Besides the above he has gone through training in intelligence, security and various other aspects of security and safety through the strict disciplines of the armed forces.Being a Short Service Officer he had the option to hang his uniform in 1977 which he opted to utilize his utilize his expertise and youthful energies in the cause of private protection and investigations.
He started this business in a very humble way from Bombay in September 1978 and within months grew and expanded to Pune and by the end of 1980 had more than 1000 Security Guards and dozens of Investigators operating in the State of Maharashtra. Thereafter, He expanded his operations to the state of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh and had a very strong business hold in these states as early as 1983.
As on date we have consolidated our position in the above States and grown many fold. Besides security guarding, our interest in private investigations & hunger for highly challenging and risky assignments we have concentrated upon our detective division to almost a perfection level.We undertake all dimensions of investigations irrespective how risky they would be as long as they are in the confines of Law. |
